Mke has decided to do a science project this year and he’s thinking of monitoring the pond in our back yard. We have some wildlife in our pond by the way of a few fish, but he wants to add some tadpoles and snails. This should be entertaining if nothing else.
Another thing he wants to try is to see what happens to the environment without the use of pond pumps. I think the scum and algae will take over, but he thinks that the animals and wildlife will keep it under control. We also have birds that frequent our pond who may help keep it managed.
After his experiment is finished, I’m going to make Mikey clean it all up. I just have this feeling that it’s going to make a huge, stinky mess and I don’t want to be stuck with it. I just hope this science project experiment is going to be worth it.
